I ordered a Rmagic FC Spoiler and some Work wheels I won on an auction.
Nothing special order, just been waiting like everyone else.

 

How long do we give it until we just chalk it up as a loss and agree that we're never getting our parts? I was just wondering if we were still going to be posting in this thread next summer when "the container is on the ship, but the ship got lost and now it's out of fuel, so I'm getting my helicopter licence so I can bring them some fuel"

I bought a few items, I/we don't chalk it up as a loss. I'm confident we will get out parts we all ordered, unfortunately not in the time frame we all hoped. That being said a "current update by Ramy would be nice".

 

Scrodes, no need for the sarcasm. If there was something in my control that I could do to expedite things, I would.

I'm fighting with shipping delays departing from Japan, consequently certain carriers are giving their premium space up to better/longer term customers. I'm doing *everything* I can to get this container loaded & on its way.

I don't have a definitive update yet, but I'm pushing REALLY hard to get one for you guys in the next few days.

I'm 100% committed to getting everyone's parts to them ASAP. I'm sure you've planned around an expected ETA, and its putting you behind. I have personal parts tied up in this too, so you're not alone.

If there's ANYONE who still has an unused deposit with me, that's my oversight. Plz contact me, and I'm happy to refund you the deposit in full. I'm not holding onto it on purpose, but I also don't recall hearing from anyone about this. I'm fairly certain that every deposit that went unused for an lost auction was either promptly refunded in full, or held onto then re-used in another auction.

Like I said though, if I'm mistaken, that can easily & quickly be taken care of.

 

You really don't listen - all we want is for you to be reachable and give us an update when we ask.


Can I have a refund please? You can sell those wheels when they land.

 

That I can tell you definitely won't be happening. Everything was pre-order/special order only. Refunds on deposits for items not purchased? Sure. Refunds on purchased parts? Sorry...can't help you with that one. Already paid for a ton of costs associated with each purchase.

 

I received word today that the container is on the ship, the ship has already departed from Japan, and should be hitting US shorts shortly.

Don't have a definite ETA yet, but it should be within DAYS, so once I know, I'll keep you guys updated.

No worries dude. Hopefully I'll give you guys more concrete info & updates re: when it's expected to hit US soil, when it clears Customs, gets to FL, when I take possession over it, when its unpacked & inventoried, etc.

 

TENTATIVE DATES:

ETD Tokyo, Japan: 7/1
ETA into Los Angeles 7/12
ETA into FL 8/1

So we're definitely looking at unpacking and inventory in August.

 

Omg that is sooooo exciting! I might actually get my new cluster before I have to garage my car for the winter!! :-)

ETA to LAX was 7/12.

Today I received the Arrival Notice & Express Release confirmation (this means it skips Customs at LAX, is released from LAX for transport to FL, where it will undergo Customs Inspection & Clearance).

I don't know if the ETA to FL is still 8/1, or a week behind (based on the Arrival & Express Release date being today). Either way, I'll let you guys know once I find out more.

To answer your question, Woden was an Anglo-Saxon god and his name is pronounced the same as "when". The day Wednesday is his day - the closest spelling was Shakespeare's "wensday" but it just never caught on so the 'd' stuck.

This is so exciting.

As far as identifying who's is what once you begin to take inventory of what's in the container, will you be requesting the info through pms or something? I have dealt with you before with high value items and everything was awesome. Smooth transaction, excellent packaging.. Etc. This container contains the last piece of the puzzle for me but I almost deleted the transaction info and email convo detailing what was bought and for how much so that's why I'm asking lol.

You're smoking crack lol. Unless there's a good bit (either volume of size) of pre-ordered parts, I don't think I'm gonna be doing this again. Such a headache...

Dave, I'm now living in Tampa, FL (it's right above my post count ). But I frequent NoVa cuz I still have my parents' place there and my friends etc.

TougeSpirit & White Charisma, I have emails & speadsheets to assist in this. And I actually try to stay AWAY from PMs for this, cuz they're so hard to track down, and can't readily be searched through.

 

UPDATE: The container is now in FL. I have NOT taken possession of it yet. But I at least wanted to update you guys that it was express released from LAX, and made its way to FL. Still gotta get it released from US Customs, picked up from the port, then truck freighted to me locally. And then the fun begins...
