Sorry for the delay guys. I'll make sure everyone's responded to immediately, and we get everyone's cluster taken care of and back out to ya right away.

Thanks,
~Ramy

I replaced my speedo because the odometer went out, can you bring my old one back to life? If so can I send you just the speedo and not the whole cluster?

You *CAN* send just the speedo, but from our experience, there are often problems on the main board itself as well, which can contribute to your symptoms. So we STRONGLY suggest sending out the entire cluster, and in turn we will test the entire cluster. If you send only an individual gauge, we can only diagnose and repair that individual gauge, and accordingly cannot guarantee the integrity of the rest of your cluster, should there be any problems on it that may cause the now-working gauge to still malfunction when re-installed in a faulty cluster. Make sense?

HI Status on cluster sent in June???

Ramy, I haven't gotten status from you in 2 months despite several emails to you. Let me know what is going on. This is getting ridiculous. If you are experiencing delays, you need to communicate it to your customers. Not responding is just plain bad business.

WA same boat - speedometer lost in limbo

Hi Ramy,

Just wondering the same thing - I said to take your time with the speedo, but now you've got me wondering. How long till I can get it back? It's been a few months now and I need to button the car back up and sell it.

Sorry, for some reason my email must have not gone through, because I recently sent out updates for every cluster I had... I'll try and run through the Sent box and re-send 'em. If you don't hear from me by the end of the week, plz shoot me another email.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Ramy,

I'm going forward with buying another cluster. So... send back my cluster at your expense. You can keep the inspection charge. I gave you the benefit of the doubt despite my gut feeling and well... low and behold I am yet another unsatisfied customer. I hope that if withdraw my cluster that the next Joe can get his cluster in maybe 4 months with some reasonable statusing. I pray you don't give them the **** poor customer service you did for me. You can make excuses of delays on parts people don't necessarily need on their car, but you should reconsider committing to repairing and taking custody of parts, when either you can't repair, can't repair in a reasonable amount of time, or are unable and / or are unwilling to communicate progress or delays. You've got a niche in sourcing parts, but your customer service totally sucks. You should also edit your sticky to honestly disclose lead times. Do the right thing: Send back my cluster and give "True" status on pending clusters to your remaiing customers. I think you've got some damage control to do across the board.

Just curious if Ramy has made good on anything else in the past 6 months or if this is a "cluster repair" thing.

did you ensure that the white 8 pin connector located up above the ecu back by the firewall is plugged into the engine harness?

MRRX7FC3S, sorry I haven't been on the forum in a bit. Not sure what you're referring to; we sent back your cluster to you a WHILE back. If I'm not mistaken, yours is the one that someone had tried to work on previously, and was pretty much FUBARed, so we couldn't repair it and returned it (hence the no charge). I could be wrong tho; I can't correlate form usernames with real names/infos. Shoot me an email at Ramy@FDNewbie.com with "MRRX7FC3S's cluster" in the subject line and we'll get this taken care of.

Everyone who's sent me their cluster has had their cluster repaired/recalibrated etc and returned thus far. I only have 2 active clusters; one's going out prob. Monday/Tuesday, and the other I just received, and spoke to that customer yesterday.

And yes, I'm still repairing clusters.

Thanks,
~Ramy

I am not so sure he is still in business. I live in North Florida and have sent several messages through his web site, all with no reply. I am very weary of doing business with any company that cannot communicate with their customers

Is there still a long lead time before getting the clusters back? Is he still doing business?

I had Southern Electronics in Virginia quote me $225 for the repair. Is that reasonable?

I am also going to be selling this car soon to make a profit. Do you think it is worth it to pay $225 to get the odometer repaired? The car only has about 75,000 original miles...

1994 RX-7 base (all stock, no mods, runs great!)

Don't think you want to go this route. Send it to DNA Speedo in Tampa FL and they will fix you up.
