Ramy,

I'm very sorry for posting that link. I just know how busy you get and when I saw the cars on a web site I posted the link to help these guys out. I didn't mean to take any business away from you and I meant no disrespect. Please accept my official apology,

- Neil

Neil, no official apology is necessary. I just want ppl to realize that this is NOT a public forum. It's PRIVATE space on this forum, so there are rules that need to be abided by, that's all

Thanks for your understanding,
~Ramy

Just so you guys know, buying this package can (and will) become very pricey. As stated previously, Yokomo offers just the bare minimum, rolling chassis for its DP kit. Its actually been around for a few years now, sporting numerous drifting iconic bodies (multiple Rx7's, too).

Like the real thing (drifting, that is), this hobby can become very expensive. Radio, motor, speed controller, batteries and charger can easily run upwards of $500. Now a days, there are a lot of drift tires on the market for r/c cars (Yokomo, HPI...) and believe it or not, the price of these can easily add up.

That being said, I love my DP (I've had it for 3 years, now), but the base kit needs a lot of upgrades to keep it enjoyable, primarily the suspension. With the right combination of tires and a high-speed steering servo, you'll have a blast achieving insane-angled, high speed drifts.

That this kit stood out to you all, I think its safe to say you're FD owners. That is the reason of this post, because we're always complaining of the lack of funds, yet we continually get financially sidetracked for various reasons.

All said and done, I have no doubt that Ramy could get a very decent price on the kit (and probably all of the various parts that you'll all want to get, once you get going with the hobby), but ye have been warned.

(Ramy, I have no intention of stepping on your toes, I'm actually one of your customers -- but who isn't here? I'd just like to give my fellow rotards a little insight.)

IamRobbyah, I appreciate your comments, and I"m sure the others on the thread do as well. My only comment on your comment is, I don't think most of the ppl who are interested in the RC car will actually be using it much - and if so, def. not for serious drifting. Some of us are FD Junkies; we want anything and everything that has to do w/ FDs. If there's a poster, we gotta have it. If there's a model car, we gotta have it. Etc. Or at least that's how I am All my ish just sits in my room (and eventually my office when I get one haha) simply b/c I love to appreciate the FD's beauty...

<-------- FD Junkie w/ a large collection of FD toys

there's no way i'm gonna drive this RC car with the RE body. especially its shipped from japan, i rather tear up another FD body that i can get here in the U.S.

that being said, i actually found local japanese owned hobby store that sells it. but if ramy still wants to do GB on this, i rather support a FD enthusiast.

Speaking of FD toys I've been trying to find a model of a FD. I would prefer a die cast car. Can you locate one for me Ramy?

Thanks
John

Guys this is a GB thread, so if there's specific models you guys want, we can do that. Otherwise, for individual orders, please email me at Info@FDNewbieImports.com.

Thanks,
~Ramy
