Andy,
I would say it's still a few months from completion. Making things right takes time, and so does waiting on other people.

Ok, Thanks. If I'm still in the market at that time I'll take a look at your version.

LMAO....somebody needs to get you boys some CAD skills....lovin' the top secret blue prints

It was nice to meet you guys this weekend...I wanted to check out your thread and subscribe so I can know when this IC is available.

I'm really not sure if I shoudl go vmount...I already have a fluidyne in place...but vmount seems the most elegant solution.

Anyways let us know when you have the prototype done and some pics...and I'll talk to you soon about our flip-flop-swap! :-D

why cant it be done this way so your can keep your stock radiator setup or even expensive aftermarket one? i mean has anyone seen a increase in power or lower manifold temps by doing the v-mount or does it just look cool.

The whole reason is to improve cooling and the intercooler would barely get airflow raising the temp of the intake charge if you did it your way (almost like a stock mount). The open end of the v provides airflow to both intercooler and radiator efficiently reducing temps.

The goal is to maximize surface area contact between the cold fluid (air) and the hot surface (radiator AND IC core).

Your diagram is actually minimizing this contact patch. Suffice it to say, without getting into the heat transfer equations, V-mount is going to offer the most cooling possible in this application. I wouldn't do anything to my fluid coolers just cause it "looked cool" :p

Yes and yes. Do a search. It's proven.

i just brought it up because i spent a crap load on a new radiator and now i wont be able to use it if i did go v-mount. the hoses would be kinked badly. what kind of radiator are you using?

You could always sell the radiator you bought....

We'll be releasing info about the kit contents when it's completed. But for now, it's safe to say we'll be using the best cores available

Yeah I'm with ya, it sucks. I have a brand new fluidyne and really dont want to replace it!

^^ I'm in the same boat. I love my fluidyne - would be awesome if it could be incorporated into the design, but...

Would you ga as far as to say this V-Mount set up would be enough to support stage III BNR's?

That I think will be eventual goal (Possibly)

I'm guessing it will be able to support much more then what BNR Stage 3's can put out.

No offense, but I'm gonna have to hear it from the people who are engineering this piece of work.

Judging from FDNewbie's reputation, I figure they will offer nothing but the highest quality product.

But it is still a question I have to ask...

Being specific has really helped me shape my engine modification perspective.

Thank you for your opinion, and your speedy reply.

Thanks again

~Jesse

They're fitting the largest core possible given the constraints on space. It will be able to support BNR stage 3's and much more.

FDNewbie is going to be running stage 3's as well (if he ever finishes his project ).

Great, thanks a lot.

Now I feel like a jerk for asking, but is there an estimated cost/price for this kit?

I assume its not gonna be cheap, and a ball park figure would really help me plan accordingly.

Thanks.
