Turbo Fitment Question
Ok so im building a RHD car and have come across an issue with the turbo fitting in the engine bay
The shell for the car is a true JDM car i believe it is an S5 and came with a RHD power steering rack. I dropped in a block from and 87 T2 and when i went to bolt the turbo up it wouldnt fit in the bay as it got caught on the steering rack....mainly it was the wastegate regulator was way to big to fit down past the steering rack
Just wondering if anyone can show me some pictures of this area of the engine bay or is there a different JDM turbo that im not aware of or is the S5 turbo that much different
what are my options?

I ran into the same problem when I was back in the states although i was putting an S4 engine in an S4 car. The JDM S4 turbo actuator or twinscroll actuator is not designed the same as the US model. If you use a S5 turbo you should have not problems or if it is your twin scrool actualor that is hitting then remove the twinscroll system. It is only a turbo/manifold problem and can be remedied fairly easily. Good luck!

For some reason of all the 5 rx7s ive owned ive never had an s5 turbo motor so ive never physically handled an s5 turbo myself and therefore didnt realize how the fitment would be different but i kinda assumed it would be
