I think I might be able to point you towards a place. But before that, what are you looking at having done?

I need someone with a scan tool...since Japanese spec rx's don't have a check engine light, thatI can find, to jump. I think I have a TPS that is going bad, my auto trans shifts late and hard unless more than half throttle and a very rich miss that comes and goes. This is my first fd and from what I've read this is a pretty common problem. I see lots of people bitching about it but no one seems to have answer, other than "bad grounds" which is "weak"... I know my way around GM OBDII systems, so I'm not a total boob but this thing has me stymied.

G-DAMN IT!!!! i live in okinawa myself and love and own an rx-7. but everytime i ask for parts or certain specs i get asked if its an FC or FD, 2nd gen or 3rd. has everyone freakin forgot that there was a first gen!!!!!!! people tell me that they are forgotten cause they suck but if thats the case then those people are not real rotary or rx-7 fans...... ANYWAY !!!!! i have an 84 with a 13b and all wheel disk breaks ( gsl-se ) in the states. i see that certain japanese people that own older cars apply a certain look which you dont see in the states and i want to know where i can get these parts. most of them dont speak english and everyone else dosnt deal with old school cars, especially rx-7's. i want some fender flares, a front airdam that sort of looks like it has a diffuser on it and a set of really nice japanese style rims. i know what im asking for is pretty vague but its just that they all have that certain look just different variations. ive seen catalogues with cars that have this look but if i could i would rather buy them than have them ordered. also i need 12a irons that are bridge ported. any one know who can deal with n/a rotarys over here.

uhh? umm? what?

Try saying "S. A. ni ni" they might understand you. That being said assuming I understand why you put this comment here or if I properly comprehended that post.

sevinsins- you may want to give in and take it to the dealer alot of us have manuals"books" but they are not for Auto trans as most member here have serious alergies to them. I would take it there atleast for the diognostic.

PS: I know where you can find a 5 speed.

Laujesse2, I think you are probably right. For what it will cost me to throw sensors at it I hope I could at least get a scan. The local dealer has been in the car before... judging by all the receipts that came with it. I picked the car up because it was completely stock, with a dealer installed motor rebuild, and in very good condition cosmeticly plus it has a new JCI. I have always been amazed at the power the RX's made and wanted to try one. It's just not for me though, I've only got a couple of months left on the island and hope I can turn it over to a new owner without looseing to much money.

thanx for the input
PS my brother just opened up a machine shop by Tori... mig, tig, mill, lathe if you can descibe it he can make it... custom intercooler plumbing? : )
