Japan's Thoughts on V8 Swaps Part 2

I dont know why Rutt locked the other thread.

ha ha I am sorry posted above me is kinda funny and either way i love V8's and rotaries. Been around big blocks most my life helping build off road rigs and street rods. I just am not a fan of looking at a sweet FD or FC even FB and hearing the sounds of a chevelle coming out of it idk to me it just does not "fit" and vise versa there is a 13b-re nova swap going on hell that is pretty cool but well pretty odd lol.

just my .02

to each there own

personally if I were to do a swap I would stay JDM and either go RB or SR maybe VQ.
Yeah i hear you on the sound part. But i think thats prolly a big misconception especially more so with the Ls1. The Ls1's have 8 individual coil packs getting rid of the distributer and creating a much smoother sound. I have the corksport 80mm power series on mine and i personally think it sounds pretty awesome. I've gotten nothing but compliments about it in person. But it is a lil loud.

I see people throwing in old school 350's and dodge motors, and those do look a little funky with that kind of sound emitting from the tail pipes. But i hear a lot of LS1 Rx7's with crisp sharp exhaust notes.

So, japan and V8's....
