I received an Engine from a customer few months back to rebuild, he in turn had picked it up from one of the many JDM parts suppliers in Ontario. off the bat, it was evident this was not an OEM build; a large, what looked like a To4e 60, HKS header and REALLY old ~40mm WG, HKS. Removing the tranny I found a OS Giken triple plate metallic, solid clutch. The irons had been port matched and street ported, not as aggressive on the primary inlets as mazdatrick's but close.. It wasn't until I hot tanked and cleaned the rotor housing that I found a stamping on the rear housing, ' HKS-A'..

I was wondering if anyone overseas knows anything about these/this engine setup from HKS? a few specs and maybe some history of this setup?

I've race ported the exhaust since then and added a newer HKS WG. The owner is going to be drifting with this setup..
