Help I bought a figaro and I have no clue what this is

Help I bought a figaro and I have no clue what this is

Ok I bought a 91 nissan figaro and I looked over the manual of course I cant read it. But I have this button on the front of the gear slector and it illastrates that it can be press down, so what does this do?

Well I'm almost sure it is the "sport" function of the gearbox which will no let shift to the upper gear before the max rev. We had the same on our Nissan Cube...

the figaro was only made in japan. so it might be to older version of the cube.

I would put a pic but I cant access photobucket from work but its a small button on the bottom of the gear slector and has a orange dot on it but I will get a pic of it later tonight.

If its the sport buttom hows it work. I find it hard to believe a 1000cc car will have a sport shiffting thing on it. But hell it came with a turbo so who knows.

if it's a small button at the bottom of the auto-gear lever it may be a shift lock

with engine off try moving the gear lever with button pressed and not pressed

Im a Tard, thanks eric, you know I tryed that once or twice but never tryed pushing in the unlock button on the handle.
