Man, drift isn't that popular in KZ, so there is no way I'm gonna see Tsuchia drift. (It's just a long story with the Kazakh politics who tried to invite japaneze drifters, but didn't find any spot 4 drifting)

First event isnt until march if i am not mistaking. When it gets close to D1 time you can buy tickets at the gates for where it is held or at a nearby 7/11. My guess is you can also buy them off of the D1 or option websites but i dont know for sure. They dont really sell out those events atleast not to my knowledge. I will ask around later where you are supposed to get tickets.

US tickets would be purchased at the gates at where ever the venue is or at ticket master most likely. I am sure you can search google or yahoo for a D1GP USA site that would have more info.

yea i searched yahoo, google, forums, and the d1gp site. i am starting to think that the event might have been cancled but it is still up on the d1gp site and i dont know how often they update those.
I will be returning from iraq shortly before it and i am trying to convince some of my friends to go but if i cant find tickets, they're not going to go to an event i dont even know is still happening.
Does anyone know how much they usually cost?

FYI

USA is cancelled due to lack of motivation I feel.
They don't care about the US at all. Stupid but a reality.

R-Magic is building a D1 Entry.
Similar in looks to the Time attack car but with Gram Lights Wheels.
Lets hope they can bribe their way in or qualify? well.

I hope we can gen a few RE-A vs R-Magic runs in the finals.

Formula D has become more popular and doesn't offer the high entry fee

Last year they could only secure three rounds in the USA.
There are a million circuits in the USA. and they can only arrange three. ???
Sounds like no-one tried real hard to me.

Japan and Sunpros doesn't like giving other people money to arrange things so they are stuck with their limited resources. They make the DVD's themselves and Ban others from promoting their sport. In case they do a better job and they start to loose money.

They don't know how to promote events very well either in Japan also.

In Australia, Drifting is on prime time Sunday TV.
And in Japan they can't even get on Cable.

They had two special tv events last year as season summaries.
They could be making loads of cash with TV advertising and major sponsors.

etc etc .

It's hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

They should be inviting internationals to run in Japan for free. That would be a start. Then sell the coverage to OS tv studios.

They need to do some case studies.
