could use some help with directions for railway/stations
I'll be out in japan doing that "tourist thing" with a few friends from august 29th - september 15th.
we've been working on planning out the itinerary, and if it wasn't too out of the way, id like to try and work in some rotary and tuning shop visits.
could anyone of you guys familiar with the area give me an idea where Knightsports, Spoon, feed, amuse, top secret, or any up-garages or autobacs are...ie, what cities, trains, stations?
i was able to dig through some old threads and i have a fair idea where RE-A is, but i couldnt find any other information for anywhere else

google will help you find their addresses
here's autobacs
http://www.autobacs.com/index.html
then mapfan and yahoo maps japan will give you search boxes you plug those addresses into
then print off the maps and compare to paper maps
you'll probably also want to buy the orange covered english all japan road and train mapbook from most big bookshops when you get here

don't waist your time with Autobacs....find a Super Autobacs....i just got back from japan yesterday....didn't do the car thing...but still its a blast!....the train stations and subways are really easy to figure out....just get you a english map from your hotel and also the fares for the subway in Tokyo range from 130-230ish yen....trains are a bit more...also a quick tip....if you're in Tokyo and find your self in Ikebukero (sp?) and need to get to Shinjuku....don't take the subway M line....its a big 40min horshoe and you can take a 6 min train ride (i felt so dumb when my friend told me about the shortcut)
