I was wondering if any of you live around the Iwakuni air station. I used to live in Okinawa and cost of living is diffrent as I was told from when I lived there.

Whats the avg rent in that area. Any spots you guys suggest?

 

It is definately should be cheaper than Okinawa I think. There was a guy on here named Craig that lived out there but I dont think he lives there any more. There is another new guy on the forums that has recently started living there. I think he has a thread in this section but I cant recall his forum name at the moment.

I searched some apartment prices in the iwakuni area and here is what i found.
This is just a real basic search and I am not sure how close these locations are to the base but WOW there are some cheap places in Iwakuni! What size are you looking for? Do you have a family coming with you or a pet?
Looks like there are plenty of places well under $500 a month that have 2 bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen (2LDK).
