Auto Select FD "Yellow Eagle"

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows details on this car:

http://www.autoselect.co.jp/demo/index_en.html

I am after specific details on the gearbox they are using:

Trust/Quaife 6 Speed dog gearset.

If anyone knows how many seasons/track days
Torque/Power of this car and reliability of the gearset

This information would be very much appreciated.

Cheers, Alex.

Dude go to my blog site.

I am trying to document all of the Japanese tuning shops FD demo cars.

I'll get there eventually.

I'm sorry I don't know specifics of their gearbox.
I know that car is old hyper rev magazines.

Maybe someone can pull them out

The car was for sale in 2004 for 3.5 Million yen, but I don't know if anyone bought it. It is a true race car after all. not a big market.

The car was mainly used in the Miester Cup / OPtion Cup series at central and okayama Ti Circuit.
But, these cars are mainly for Time attack to prove tuning company prowess in Japan.

If you translate the Event diary on their site there is heaps of info.

reading through some it states that it can do 59 seconds at tsukuba and 10.9 for 0-400
Top Speed at 280kph in "Street tune".

Back in 2002 it used to be quicker than their R34 but that has changed these days.

Being a dog mission over hauls are not to difficult or even very pricee. Any transmission shop should be able to overhaul that mission fairly cheaply within a day or two. I am not sure how many much track use it has seen as I dont recall seeing lots of coverage on it other than a couple random magazine spots when it was first built. With that turbo set up I would suspect the car to be in the 400 to 450 hp range. Keep in mind this car was built to be street legal but bare bones, also keep in mind hor rare that transmission is!!! If they put the kind of money it requires for that transmission into the rest of the car also I would not hinder from buying that car as long as someone can provide you with compression numbers from the engine.
Word hope that helps!!!
