i just got here and bought and rx-7. Just wondering if there were any others here from yokota.

nice is there anybody around my area that works on rotary engines? need to get a few things done. Compression check and few other goodies

I rebuild, fab and tune, Computer wise I have only worked with the Power FC and Motec units though if you do your own wiring, I am sure that I could also work with AEM or Haltech, I just have not had anybody bring one f those two around me.

I also have the digital electronic compression tester. Come down one weekend and we can do a compression check.

how far are you from yokota. i think i might have a coolant leak somewhere. but not sur. i know its not apex seal. and also my a/c is ****. ut other than that i want to put a body kit and repaint. i def need to get up with you to see whats around this area street scene wise. i love that stuff

There's a shop just up Route 16 (Boit) that handles quite a bit RX7, but they are costly. Reaction Racing in Sagamihara does great work and its considerably less. They built my engine and I'm yet to drive another 7 that feels and sounds as smooth.

any engine rebuild will cost you a few $$$. Depending on how much you want to reuse (if possible) the price can vary. Simple seal replacement and other odds and ends will cost about $2K...to have most of the engine replaced; plates, rotors, seals, hoses, bead blasting...you're looking at about $5K ~ $6K.
