Machining center caps

Like title said, anyone know someone who can do such a thing?

I have Enkei RPF1 wheels and the center caps are just ugly. I want something custom.

The guys over at s2ki.com thought about the same thing.

http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=574026

I see that alot of people here run RPF1's and i always see them run capless, im also sure for the reason because the stock enkei caps are ugly as *****.

So can someone be our savior and do such a thing and make some good caps for us??

Any machine shop should have no problem making them. If you didn't want an emblem engraved on them i couldn't imagine them being more than 150 for a one off set of 4, and extremely cheap if done in bulk.

I want some too, I have the same rims and don't have caps. I had the idea a few months ago but never followed through.

My thought for the engraving was that biohazard rotor symbol (maybe re amemia? i cant remember for sure). How sweet would that look.

If you really move on this let me know

Only thing that i should do is PM that guy on the s2k forum and ask him to custom make some caps, just for me. Even if its at an extra extra cost.

I dont mind though, the pics of the samples looked really good.

Take some measurements and a photo or two of the cap and post it up. I could atleast ball park how much it would cost my work to make them.

Wait, you can have it done?? or know someone who can have it done, just like the ones posted on that s2k thread?

If so, just give me a chance to get measurements from the caps and ill get back to you ASAP.

Thanks for the heads up.

I got some BBS wheels off E-bay with missing center caps. Got some flying Ms from e-bay for good price and found some black delrin round stock. Then got the son-in-law to machine an adapter that with small cap screws fit the whells. So now they look like mazda wheels (price about $25)

I made a set..

I picked up some Mito Modular wheels a while ago. Aside from missing one of the caps, they were just ugly. So I machined a set out of nylon. I machined a recess for some OZ stickers that I scored from eBay and dyed the nylon red with clothing dye. They don't have any fancy mechanism for attaching to the wheel.. A little RTV holds them in place. If I was thinking when I was making them I would have tried to put a lip in them or something..

It's more like, "any" caps make that particular rim look like ****. The only ones I've seen that look decent are the enkei rpf1 almost flush caps that come with the 19" RPF1 rims. But to each their own.

I've done stuff like this before, typically one off sets with custom designs for show vehicles. I usually request the custom sends me a cap though, I just don't trust others to take accurate measurements.

i just got the rpf1s too, capless. you are right they are ugly as hell. having said that w/o the cap it looks terrible too. its all rusted in there. i was thinking of sanding it down and painting it a nice silver to match. atleast it will be clean looking. what do you think. i like the rim without the cap to be honest. just hate the rust.

i didnt even check if the stockers would fit in there...probably not huh?
