13B Manifold build - ebay fitment

Hey guys, currently browsing the site for a good FD shell for a track only car. I thought I'd add something worthwhile to the forum.

My friend, like many people, had a ebay manifold that failed in many places. The previous owners attempt(s) at fixing were also a disaster. So I stepped up and offered to build him a replacement. I made a jig of the ebay manifold and built the new one to suit. The only thing he didn't want to copy was the wastegate placement. We moved that further down. I'm no professional fabricator but this came out pretty good.

We found out after putting this on that the ebay manifold was always giving boost creep that he never knew about. I placed the wastegate runners pretty well and as a result the boost has been run with as little as 6.5psi all the way to redline so far.

Flanges - Mazworx
Pipe - AceStainless

I had troubles getting the pipes in the T4 shape.
How did you do yours so clean if you don't mind me asking?

Did this manifold fail as in crack or was it just causing boost creep probs?
Take a look at my ebay manifold that I have dissected.

I had thought about doing the same and building a jig to make a new manifold.
from looking around on the net and some help from this forum I think these manifolds are a copy of the FEED item.

It failed in many ways. Cracked at T4 flange, warped t4 flange & boost creep. Couldn't run less than about 11 psi
