UK Rotary meet (Pictures)

Wotcher all

For a while now we over here in the UK on the FDUK forum have had an occasional meet-up near Guildford (Surrey... near London) where we just park up, talk crap, sniffa round each others cars like randy dogs and have a burger before shooting off to make some noise in the nearby Hindhead Tunnel. All very chilled, amiable stuff.

The last meet this Sunday gone was the biggest yet, we had 22 rotary cars turn up, mostly FDs from aforementioned FDUK club, but also some old skool rides from the Exile club. Thought I'd share a few pics from the day with you, and a vid or two of the tunnel run. Please jump in and comment

I never had sense to try group shots until half the guys had left, but managed a few when there was still an impressively full car park

I love this shot

Right, then, some individuals. I started off with the best imtentions of getting loads of pics, but as usual ended up just talking bollocks at people so the cars that were there early I got loads of pics of, the later ones.... not so much

Era's plastic car and Mike's

Sometimes you think Mazda just got it right without having to resort to all that aftermarket malarkey...

Edd made it despite random engine desecration going on all week

Rob (Merlin's) interior, complete with distinctly arousing gear **** :p

I simply cannot belive how the guys turned this car around from something dragged out of a field. Mucho respect, looks fduking ace

Dr Dan's ol' Blue with new funky carbono diffuser and JDM YO! orange doobrie

..and with a li'l Danette... err Danling? Err... trapped in it. Still, seemed happy enough lol

Cona2k's car, red ones best etc etc

Although I was a bit scared by the bloody wildlife living in the brake servo well

"those" lights in full. Look great, but by Christ Connor's a braver man than me driving that after dark!

Nell's old burnout car made an appearance with it's new owner

All the pics I took of the outside were ****, too, so you'll have to make do with these. Soz

Keith's

Ada's engine bay v9.6. Lookin good

Tommos. Always attention grabbing

Bloody excellent to see some Exile guys bring along some old-school righteousness too. Great to see that we can get along despite being opposite ends of the rotary evolution.

This is Tools least good RX-2 (so he says). Jealous much

For those of you who've never managed to dive through all the clutter and **** and rats nests and turbo lines and intake hose and airpumps and all the other crap an FD bay's full of...this is what a rotary engine looks like

Hell, yeah

I fduking love this car

wish my wife's rear end was this... no, stop there

Gotta love a first gen RX-7 that needs a wideband

Silver Arrow's FB

Jo's Ralph the insane bridgeported RX-4

buy one, they're gooooood

Right, back to plastic cars. This is the old Dragon Time Attacker, now in the hands of Mr Spaarks. A top fella even if its only cos he keeps Edd from exuberising everyone to death (is that a word? should be )

Pipe weld madness

Top car, flames like a bastard and looks soooooo cool on the road

Ol Ralph? He's better than wicked, he's evil lol. A full-fat bridgeport means he's definitely as much go as show, it's only a shame the brakes mean there's very little stop!

Some more for you...

Ooh, that's some nice stuff right there.
Hopefully something similar happens here in Norway so I get to experience this in real life.
