Oh yeah no updates on teh steve kan thingy yet. AfGmnky is trying to gauge interest from people. We will have to pay for his trip and stay here, plus have atleast 5 people in on the tune. I think its $300 usd per person. Also we would have to find a central location where we all can meet or a location that we can all agree on. finally steve is very busy, we would have to find an opening in his schedule. Right now its just an idea. If we have enough people and if he doesnt mind a trip to europe it could happen.

This is no problem to find 5 cars for tuning here in Germany. I can bring 4 cars to tuning.
Steve is the greatest in tunning Wankels. But i see he is also tuning piston engine. Perhapes i can bring more people with cars.
Let me know ,i come all over the hole germany to let Steve tune my car.

Hell if thats the case and he wants to tune pistons also I can arrange for my best man to be there. He has an uphill rally Golf GTI with a Haltech. $300 is chump change compared to what his tuner rips him for.

I agree 300 bucks doesnt seem bad at all. Anyone know of a suitable dyno location?

Still looking in this area. I think I am getting closer. I am told that there is a Bosch dealer downtown that has one. I'll talk to James who runs the Bitburg autocross. He knows exactly where it is.

i gotta hurry and get my car completed it hasnt even arrived yet. 6.0L LS1 off a 2003 yukon into the FD. t56 w/ 3.90 rear. Thats what im shooting for. I found a shipping company that charges by the crate, 300 usd per crate. still searching for sellers online and maybe i could have them fit both engine and tranny into 1 crate. The site is Baxglobal.com. Car hasnt arrived yet and im already shopping for a new engine. So depending on how fast i can get my car completed w/ aftermarket boltons and internal upgrades for a SC, will determine when we will schedule. i wont need steves tuning for suspension and brake upgrades. Anyone here an american muscle car person? im getting most of my info off of ls1tech.com and torquecentral. I dont have much knowledge about any chevy engines. I just heard it would be best to start from a newer model 350 base engine. i will need all the help that comes along. As for getting steve kan schedule, if u guys dont want to wait on me, you could just schedule it yourself. i will be involve also my, other FD is getting a new DP,MP, injectors, and plugs/wires. a little tunning wont hurt. The PFC i installed last week runs ++++++. It came pre tune by the guys at SR motorsports. the ECU still has the SR motorsports sticker on it. So far there has only been 5 or 6 different people posting on this thread. Anymore interested?

Not just an FC but also an older all motor Kadett C!! I just don't understand why some people won't spend the time to learn the engine but will spent 100s of work hours and 1000s of dollars to do a swap. If you buy a rotary powered car do it for the love of the engine not just the look of the car.

I say it will take that long and cost that much unless you are getting a direct engine conversion kit. Well anyway good luck and prepare to be smoked by a rotary or two.

BTW what are you doing with the engine thats coming out of there? Imight be interested in purchasing that from you.

i was thinking about selling it or saving for an FB project =D. Dont worry i know all about rotaries the swap wont be too much since im not buying the aluminium block. i will still have the other rotary FD around. im looking to get good power and gas milage from this swap since i will be spending 30 minutes driving to work every mon-fri. this conversion will cost just a little bit more than doing a single upgrade + all the suportting mods and tune. I had to do a lot of thinking before i decided to go ahead with it. As for car and looks goes, nothing looks as good as a clean FD. and having the power and corning speed to back it up. the 6.0l will only weigh 70lbs more than the stock FD setup. which isnt much and ill have a lot of room for power upgrades 345 hp/380 ftq stock. with bolt on and tuning ill get close to 500hp/tq ez. those engines come detuned as crap from factory. and ill be able to manage close to 30mpg on long trips.

Dont pretend to be good, u would do the same to me, or to anyone. Its not even a big deal. Ok back to the subject, i guess this tuning idea is dieing down. I talked to a few people, who are "car people" about it. Tell all told me they are broke. haha but im going to keep asking. Still havent figured out a location yet.

Higgi hates american but loves to rip them off lol. his going to make us go to the CZ instead of luring the tuner here. Get ur own schedule higgi, stay away from the guys in western germany. J/K are u in? you might just have to make your own schedule. if you get enough people it would be cheaper and save u a 6+ hr trip or us lol.

if i will be able to afford 6+hr trip in my FC, i will most likely not be able to pay Steve then...cost of trip will get easier more expensive than Steve's job could be...

i need tuning badly, however i don`t **** money and nor **** fuel :P
