Rx-7 a hairdressers car??

I was sitting in my house when my sister came home with some guy from her work, she told him about how i aspire for an rx-7 by the time i am 21. he commented asking why an rx-7? and not a nissan skyline or rx-8 or something similar, i explained my reasons being the rx-7's unique sound and curved body work and the rotory engine itself ect but his biggest claim is that it was a hairdressers car? i know fine well it isn't, i will defend the rx-7 forever but it is an annoying thought.

What do you think?

:::: Warning ::::: This thread gave me diabetes!

If you are basing your purchasing decisions on what others think, then you may indeed be a "hairdresser".

FYI the RX8 also has a rotary engine.

Never seen a girl in an rx7s or rx8. I know there are those few that drive them but those few understand the rotary and are usually car chicks, not hairdresser chicks.

your sister's worker friend probably isnt much of a car person . and confused the RX7 with an MX-5 .

but then again did you ask what he drives?

I think its a shame the mx-5 is viewed as so much of a girls car, i'd love to try owning one at some point but i wouldn't suit it at all, though one of my favorite things about any car is its rarity and the mx-5 is common as hell over here in the uk, rarely do i see rx-7's.
