Quick question about and S5 TPS
To my understanding the S5 has a self adjusting TPS. Does that mean that you never have to adjust it? The reasion why I ask is because when I start my car cold it does the 1500 RPM jump cycle untill it warms up. Recently, after driving the car, the RPMs drop to around 500 when I come to a stop. Before, I could hit the gas a little and it would smooth out at around 900 RPM. Now, however, it smooths out then goes back to 500 RPM. Is this a bad TPS? And if so does anyone have a spare S5 TPS for sale? I searched the 2nd gen forum, but everyone is talking about the S4 TPS it seems. Even RTeds site just briefly mentions the S5 long enough to say that its self adjusting.

I dont think that the S5 TPS is self adjusting...my mazda mechanic checks it and adjusts it from time to time.
When the rev needle goes up and down till it warms up is usually a faulty TPS or one that needs adjustment. I had the same problem till i replaced the TPS with a new one.
