Part number for headlight washer switch

I've had no luck finding one of these in the classifieds so may buy new when I go to Europe in a few weeks. Does anyone have a Mazda part number for one of these? They were standard on Canadian and European FDs I believe.

The tanks are easy to find in the US (I've two in my garage) but, oddly, not the switch.

Can't offer a number at the moment, Australian and I think (at least) the Touring X in Japan came equipped with these too....if an unknown console over here is any indication. Appears to be a different black headlight surround - to accommodate the nozzle? - if a few differences in some spares here is anything to go by.

Yup - the surrounds would have to have a hole for nozzles. I think the pump in the rear (plus the hose) would be the only other differences.

Headlight cleaner switch (66-610A) FD01-66-610A, on a superseded dealer disc $AU121.81.

Nozzle (50-715) FD13-51-820 $AU146.67 each!!

Headlight surrounds, (50-741B, 50-741X) FD14-68-406, FD14-68-407.

The real shocker....and I didn't realise they were different, but makes sense, because they were used as storage tanks for the intercooler spray on the SP race cars - rear window washer tank FD07-51-810(D,E,F and on the UK cars, G) $AU1303.28
Going off the diagrammatic representation, stretch pretty much across the back of the car and have 3 pumps.

Might have issues connecting the switch as well, the others look like you could use spade terminals, but this one (on the left) has pins instead.

Thanks for this information. I checked the parts numbers on www.mazdapartscheap.com and it seems that the switch is available in the US (for US$75 or so) and the nozzles (for $65 each). The other parts are not available it seems.

I don't understand what you mean about the washer tank going the entire length of the back of the car. The tanks I have are about 30x30x30cm. (Also don't understand your references to D,E,F,G.) Is there some other design of tank I wonder. The price seems absurd.

I'm using the tank and switch for an intercooler sprayer project. I will buy a dedicated Spoon intercooler sprayer (which is about $30) and not use the Mazda sprayer.

Thanks again.

The D,E,F and G are the part suffixes.....not sure that they amount to anything significant, all I can say, switch over occurred from chassis #1019, then #1029 locally for E and F respectively. Can't quite picture the Japanese (and I presume the NA??) model washer tanks, would have thought that size you mention, would be a trifle on the large size, but it's been a while since I've played around back there and the parts representation had something much more rectangular in appearance. Anyhow, if 3 pumps are not evident, it's not the tank.

What one of the local race cars did was have a spinning done in alloy to occupy the spare wheel well for the storage tank. The SP cars just used two irrigation spray nozzles in the intercooler duct....not sure if a finer mist would be advantageous... and interconnected the front windscreen washer and rear hatch tanks to get a reasonable quantity.

I was wrong about the tank - the one I though was a windshield washer tank is actually a rear wiper reservoir tank. It is also not quite as large as I mentioned.

Ordered the switch from Ray yesterday too - thanks again for the PN.
