Japanese car meet in Germany

hey what's going on? I've been on rx7club for for a few years now and I figure its time to give a little back to the community that has supported me.

I'm offering any knowledge or divine secrets, just the opportunity to be part of one of the largest Japanese race events in Germany.

Here's the link: http://www.reisbrennen.de/
will be going if I can get my engine rebuilt in time. I'm stationed in Baumholder and was wondering if anyone in the surrounding area would be interested in going. If so we can put in some 4 day passes and link up and leave Friday morning. Its about a 5 hour drive so we would have to leave early.

It would nice to have a nice showing of rx7's there. Hopefully my car will be up and running. If you are interested lets make a list on this thread and start prepping for the trip.

yeah i heard about you on an other thread. i hoping to have my engine rebuilt by then but the kit is taking forever to get here. if its not ready i would like to try to rent a car and head out that way. where are stationed? If you want we could split a rental and go check out the scene. do you tune? if you do I may require some help after my engine is put back together and stuff.

Tried to find any info about entering event (drifting) in english, but it looks like organisers does not really care for non-german speaking guests.

Sweet man thats weird on the rebuild kit I can get one in about 10 days. And yes I can tune. Experience is haltech, microtech, power FC, AEM,and hydra nemisses. I have build about 8 or nine 400 to 500 horse power FDs and build my 20B FB and worked on plenty of FCs. Turbo and Nitrous, you name it I've done it with 17 years of rotary engine building experience. Just talk to the guys in the savannah thread. before I left I finished Ed's 20b FC convertible NA too. Love building that one.

yeah i haven't been able to get much info on entering any of the events but if its anything like german race wars its usually open to anyone. how much would you charge to street my car once its all together. not looking for much power just something safe and reliable because the engine is getting swapped when i get to the states. maybe i can learn a few tuning secrets from you. let me know if you want to do the rental thing if my car isn't ready. i could get the car here then pick you up so we can head out. i might be able to get a third person in on the rental too.

Thanks but no thanks! It's a jdm and ill have to sell it before I leave next year. I'm just rebuilding it, touching it up a little, enjoying the car for a few months, then saying goodbye...

I can get you pictures tomorrow. If you look at one of my first posts there should be a few pictures from my new member thread.

I have heard of a guy in philly who registers jdm vehicles so i'm looking more into that, but if I can't do that it'll be for sale here next spring for around $10,000

Will do! It's looking like won't be able to take the car... so if you're interested in buying it in the near future, let me know. I'll probably put it up for sale starting at $12,000.

If you know anyone else that's looking for one for next summer, point them in my direction!
