Hello to all the FC guys in Germany...

Just wanted to say hi. I'm new to this forum thanks to someone I talked to at the Northside Shopette the other day. He told me his name, but I was a little busy and didn't get to write it down. He had a nice orange FC Turbo. Anyway, thanks to him I have found a haven to go to here in Germany. I will be registering my '89 FC turbo on monday hopefully and the tinkering will begin promptly! I was a little worried about finding anyone to help with finding parts or asking questions here due to the fact that the FC seems like a realitivly obscure car around these parts. However, from what I understand now there seems to be at least a few of us around Ramstein that share the rotary enthusiasm and I'm definately glad to hear that! I had a GXL in the states and I loved it. It was probably one of the most fun cars I have ever owned and I am happy to be able to own another rotary while I'm here in Germany. Anyway I just wanted to say hi and try to get to know a few of my fellow FC owners in this area so if the guy with the nice orange FC sees this, please let me know because I would like to figure out if you guys have a club up and runnin' or what. Again, thanks for the heads up and I hope to talk to you guys soon!

That was me, wondered if you would remeber the website i sent or not. Seems as though the Rotary "cult" is growin at Ramstein ive seen at least 4 RX8s 2 which waved indicating at least they knew what i was driving. AF1 has 2 FDs right now, one in the states and one here. And now you and hercdriver are gonna add to the RX7 maddness on base. I love it!
As for a club or something, Not much of that goin on.... Yet. But now i really see potential for some good networking threwout Europe not just on here but with meetin up and have peoples numbers and stuff. Specialy with crafty people on here like Armyofone and Higgi.

I had a feeling that was you AFgreasemnky. What with the orange car in your avatar and all, lol! And yea I'm all about some rotary love!!! I can not wait to hit the Nuremburg ring! Lord knows as many times as I've raced it on Grand Turismo 4, I should know it like the back of my hand, lol! If all goes well my FC should be legal by monday afternoon. I have to wait till wensday to get my new tires, but after that I'm on it. And as far as the club...we should definatly get something together! Also I talked to another cat at the shopette today that just blew a head gasket on his Civic and he was sayin something about takin me to the "spot". I'm guessin' there's somewhere around here that peeps gather to "do their thing", so to speak. You might know him..I didn't catch his name either, but he's a tall, sorta scraggily lookin black guy that seemed to have a little knowledge about the scene around here. He said that he comes into the shopette alot and when I get my car registered that I could follow him to "the spot". Lemme know if you know anything bout that. We could show up and let 'em know how rotary folk do, lol! Anyway, come gimmie a holler at the shopette, I'm there basicly all the time (except for mon. and tues. this week). I wanna get a closer look at that pretty orange FC!!!!

Yo I got my passport ready!!I had to have one to get here seein as I'm a civy and all! 600+ km huh? So that's like 4 or 5 hours right? Is there any track fees or anything like that? Also I heard that theres no track fees or anything for Nuremburg, is that just a rumor or is that factual? And do you need some sort of special licence to run there? The guy I'm gettin my FC from is goin to Hockenheim (sp?) to get a race licence and I'm thinkin I might try and do that myself. Anyone know anything bout that? Anyway, gotta get ready for work. One more day till I get my FC, WOOT!!!!!!!

Good you have passport already!

For driftchallenge, there is about 20EUR fee to enter the challenge, and if you will manage it thru qualifying, it means 2 days on track.

Last time, we even got free used tires for drifting and tire changing/balancing at the track for free, its supposed to be same this time as well.

Accomodation close to track where we will hang those 2 nights (friday-saturday-sunday) should be something like 7EUR per night per person. Or you could stay for party at track and camp there overnight for free

Drive could be 6-7 hours, depending on which way, what traffic you will run into etc..Would be best, if you guys could take off friday morning and be there friday afternoon - easy drive, save some gas for track use

20 euro for track time???!!!??? Wow thats a lot cheaper than I would have thought! And 7 euro for a hotel, lol, damn....if I spend like 100 euros for a hotel I could get a 5 star place, huh? I am all but there my friend!!! Get your passport expedited Greasemonkey!!! I got mine in the states in 2 days...of course I had to pay $180 to get it done, but it was worth it to not have to wait and potentially miss the flight I had already booked! By the way, anyone know of any drift events happening a little closer to home? I got an extra bedroom for Higgi to stay in if he wants to come down this way and run with us!

LMAO! Well I guess it was just wishfull thinking!!! I would probably rather be on the track the whole time anyway...who needs sleep when they own a FC, lol! I do have a bit of bad news tho...I won't be able to get my car till wensday morning due to somethings that were out of my control ....but hopefully, if everything goes well I should be driving it by wensday afternoon. Wish me luck!

Well i might as well throw it out there then... I like the car alot and plan on working out the tranny issues shes havin right now... After that sometime next month or so she is goin up for sale. For those that have seen the car, you know its in pretty good shape for a 20 year old car... A few mods, and the motor is in awsome shape.
Ill have a sale post in here soon im sure...

It was good to to meet you in person. I'm glad we had a chance to talk. I'm lined up to fix a diff leak on a Benz then fix a intake gasket on a T-bird with a 5.0, BUT anytime you need a hand or just want to chill let me know.
