BTW: my car's in for the paintjob (again, but different shop)... Promised to be ready in 10 days. He was very friendly (not like the jerk who ripped me off) and really liked the car. If the tires arive he will put them on for me too. And the car will be prepared for inspection, due before March 15th... wish me luck!

Thanks guys, at least I have a good feeling about this one. They really liked the car, and explained me what would happen (removing locks, handles, rear glass, ...) and that they would paint the parts like mirrors and rear bumper apart... They explained me exactly how the price was calculated, and give me a price. He said it could vary a bit, but wouldn't exceed a sum that was very reasonable to me. He said that it could be done for less if I wanted, but the car was too nice to save money at those things. The guy owns a FC cabrio, and his son sold me a SA as an unfinished restauration project about 1 1/2 year ago. So they do like RX7's. Not like the other guy who called them "lumbs of rust".

Good luck with the painting Bart! I'm thinking of painting mine in the new Rx8 blue... later...

Dreamweaver is no 1. Little hard to learn, but worth it ...
There are way simpler programs but they all fall out if you want to do something extra..
You could however learn HTML.. then you only need wordpad!

Just promise me not to use frontpage..

Making a website... I wanted to do that fo ages, buit don't seem to start. Point is: like Kim, I'm slightly worthless on a PC when it goes further then the basics ;-)
The new RX8 blue is magnificient, BTW. I love that color... Maybe next time :-)

Yes dreamweaver is definitly good, but you need to learn how to work with it a bit....

I learned in about a day how to make a very basic website with no fancy stuff, so with a little practise id say you should be on your way to making a good site very fast...

Just get a book on html, like a beginner's guide or something. I learned how to make a pretty decent site in about a month, but I didn't give it my full attention. You could probably learn in a weekend, if you had nothing else to do. I did that first, THEN bought a web designer program. It's much easier if you have to troubleshoot someting.

FWIW, I have CuteSitebuilder, from the makers of CuteFTP, Globalscape ( http://www.globalscape.com/ ).

What is a "lumb," by the way?

Anyone besides me feel like we are getting a lot of unwanted attention from the West? Perhaps it's time to conider moving our more controversial threads to the lounge, so we can concentrate on relevant stuff.

Just a thought.

We could also just stop talking controversial
Anyway, you migt have a point...
Just a question: has everybody else has problems accessing the forum lately? Or just me? I couldn't get to the forum for several days... Which is awfull, cause I like to post plenty of useless remarks, just to see my post-counter go up

I used to be very active in the 1st gen forum. But I got tired of it. They always discus the same topics, and only a few guys are really intresting enough to talk to. Much better over here. Then again, what topics are we discussing? We don't even talk RX7 anymore lately... ;-)

I only got 15, for PM's... think this forum is little bit like the Christine car from the Stephen King book (and film): it has it's own mind :-)
As for post whoring: I actually want to know when I'll be allowed to choose the titlle under my name (spinner, insane burnout, etc) myself. So I must keep posting :-)
Must post...aaahhhh....

Yeah, the forum has been acting strange ever since the update. I still don't like the fact that it attaches the sigs to everything in the postwhore box. And I can't view my subscribed threads from my User Control Panel, if there is nothing new in them. I know I've subscribed to at least 3 threads since the update...

I thought things were supposed to be getting better...
