try read little bit about HTML, use Word, FrontPage, HomeSite and after u see what it does and what not, end up using notepad for HTML editing

I use Dreamweaver 4.
Not free and quite complicated in the beginning.. but then it's easy..

Did try frontpage but that's a dissater! (not sure about the latest version).

You could always try Netscapes "Composer" really simple good and free!
I used this before but it ran out of functions.

started with composer, it's easy to work with. I used Xara for some button designs etc. Unfortunatly, I can't upload the page (it's no more then the front page now) properly. Must check how that works. But I still have plenty of time to learn.
