European 7 meet&greet on 7/7/07

Well I was thinking about this. In Japan there will be a big 7 event on this date (Saturday) and maybe it would be cool to have somethig similar in Europe as well.

Location is open as far as it's somewhere in the middle for everybody.

So let's here it Euro and UK 7 owners how a bout a RX7 event on this special date?

Nürburgring

That is a very nice idea.

How about the Nürburgring as the location for the meet?
Large parking lots, good and quiet cheap hotels in the area, tourist driving on the track...

Or maybe Zandvoort, Zolder or Spa-Francorchamps?

In case of interest we can probably arrange it in CZ as well, if you want it to be in central europe

Me neither, my sister is getting married that day
I had planned to go on a trackday on Padborg Park, then my sister told me she was getting married, followed by "Why don't you look happy on my behalf" LOL she just rolled her eyes when I told her why... bitch

Well I know that a lot of Dutch people would probably be interested so I don't know if Nurnburgring is an option for them.

Like I said, I'm close to Zolder so i could arrange for a lot ot things (hotel, food, going out on Saturday-> www.Versuz.be, parking space etc etc) pretty easy. I know the Zolder people are quite open for events dedicated to particular or rare cars.

Anyhow, we'll see...

Hi!

That 7³ date is coming.

We should make a decision.

Maybe we could vote for the locations?

Zolder, Spa, Zandvoort, Nürburgring is all not far away from me. Czechia is a bit more away but maybe we from this region here could drive with more persons in one car. Uhm, not the best idea in a RX-7.

Speedworks can do something in zolder, that would be nice. So i would vote for Zolder or alternatively for the Nürburgring.

We decided to have local Czech meet, as prices of fuel and other factors are not really making it possible for most of our CZ club members to go anywhere further than 100 or 200km's. Anyone is welcome to join us. It will be held in Dvorce, close to Jicin.

I'm totally interested still, living in Amsterdam. But there's one catch, since my stay here is temporary (master's one year long program), I left my 7 stateside. If someone were willing to drive me whereever we meet.. I'd be happy to chip in for the gas. PM me if your interested.

Yes, if there are no news from the zolder side, we should do the nürburgring thing.

I know 2 nice guesthouses in the nürburgring area. One with a garage where you can put on your semi slicks or repair small stuff on your car.

They are both cheap (60 Euros for a 3 bed room including breakfast for one night, so 20 euros per person...)...

I mailed Zolder but got no reply yet.

Nurnburgring is about 300kms from where I live. With the Audi that's not really a problem for me.

My 7 is still engineless so it will be the oilburner anyway

If I don't get any repsonse by tomorrow I'll call them and ask what the deal is.

Maybe you should choose a nice place - near a Chateau or an auberge - just to talk Rotary - nothing fancy/expensive...

Start a local RX-7 chapter - even when you are 2 cars and a donkey head...
