And another one...

So I blew a waterseal, and instead of hurrying a rebuild for what is supposed to be my daily driver, I started looking for a replacement engine. And being me, I ended up buying a whole car. This time a german turbo-2, completely stock except for the steering wheel.
This will be the last car I buy for a long while. I swear! I only have indoor space for 3 cars, and now I have 4 7's..

Pictures (sorry for the 2 blurry ones):

Definately! Really is nice to feel the torque push you into the seat.. My NA is more fun around the bends though, I'm not sure exactly why, it somehow feels like a more balanced car.

No, I actually bought it from a guy my age, but he was very into "young-timers" and owned a original datsun 1200 with only 4300km on the odo. And yeah, the car is in great shape, still has the original stickers in the door and under the hood. In the picture I haven't cleaned the engine, and it looks cleaner still in person.

Yeah, about import tax - the plan is to transplant the engine and drivetrain to the white FC you can see in the background on one of the pictures. The registration tax is already paid for that one. I feel a bit bad though to rip this fine car apart, so I am wondering whether I should instead sell the white and use the money to pay the import tax on the silverblue. I think I will end up using it as a donor though, as I could always put the engine back and restore it to the original condition.
