Hi, I am also near Stuttgart with 2 FCs. One for road, one for track.

If someone wants to join, I am sure you are welcome.

I'm not in Germany, but live kind of close (I'm in Papa, Hungary). All my cars got sold in the move from the states, but if anyone finds themselves in the area be sure to give me a shout.

(Also, while I realize this area of the forum isn't exactly the busiest place, I am in the market for a clean FC or FD)

Cheers guys
-Bill

I saw that! but I thought for sure that it'd be sold by now!

Unfortunately it's a bit above my price point, but I wanted to ask you if you had any troubles with the TUV? I'm a bit new to the process, but the Hungarians I work with tell me that the inspection criteria out here is incredibly strict (they tell me that anything "not stock" is an automatic failure).

So far I've missed out on a super clean white S5 FC in Germany (6000 euro), and it looks like I'm going to miss out on a slightly less clean S4 FC in Austria (5300 euro)... Not much for sale in Hungary... There's a red 2004 RX8 about 20-minutes away for 3000euro that looks to be pretty clean. I'm thinking about breaking down and going to look at it. (At that price point I could afford 2 rebuilds and be at price point of an FC)

For my budget: I was hoping to have my "butt in seat", at the Panonia-ring, for around 10,000 euro (+/-). (car, prep, helmet, and track fees)

Good times.

When its advertised, its not sold Sometimes it takes years, no stress.

As far as i know, TUV, emission stations and national equivalents have been 'b r i b e able' everywhere, including USA, Germany or my country. Its all about the local contacts.
General rule : if outsides looks pretty much stock, its bigger chance that there will be no issues with less visible modifications.

Friend in Hungary probably still have few race prepped (not street cars) RX-8's for sale, will ask him.

Besides advertised FD i have as well this and would consider selling it for 12000 EUR, but thats still over your budget

I KNEW I saw your car somewhere: https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/d...e-0a1a2653d634

I may or may not have heard of "blind inspectors", and may or may not know where one might be in town... Honestly, i dont think anyone here has ever SEEN an RX-7 yet alone know what one is supposed to look like in stock form. Looking at yours I bet it'd get by all but the most diligent inspector.

The RX8 I mentioned earlier was a bust, but it was my fault. Being from the US, I'm used to assuming that all manual transmission are 6-ports. I had no idea they mated 4-ports to 5-speed manuals out here. Luckily I spotted the lack of the 5th and 6th ports before I forked over my money (truth be told, I noticed the lower redline on the tach first...). I'm going to give this one a look on Sunday:

https://www.hasznaltauto.hu/szemelya...ather-14115610

But if it doesn't work out, I might go back to my "budget approval committee" and see if I cant up the budget enough to be in your FD's territory

If your friends in Hungary dont mind sharing their contact info, I'd love the chance to meet up with some like-minded rotor-heads in the area. Especially if they attend events with their cars (as my Hungarian is still a bit too weak to attend events by myself. there's a lot of important info I tend to miss).

Cheers!

Stuttgart

He there guys, just purchased a Spirit R from Japan, and I was wondering if you guys had good luck making it over here to the Stuttgart area. I haven’t seen any RX7s running around but I am predominantly on Panzer.

05.10.2019 rotorheads will come together near the mazda wankelmuseum in Augsburg. Not so far from Stuttgart. Mr. Frey themself show us the museum exclusive.
