Question Unichip??

Does anyone have any experience with this product?? It has rotary applications and is programmable unlike a replacement chip.

A good friend of mine will be using this on a 94TT Supra and also a FD RX7, it's probably gonna be a while until he finishes the testing with it, but when he does, I'll post it on the forum.

I know that there are a lot of WRXs over here with them in their cars as a part of the APS kit. I have only seen good results with it.

Unicom

That sounds like a good solution. The web site has a lot of information. I called around and the Unicom unit itself is $600. They quoted me for the unit, install and dyno run $800-$900. That is pretty good.
Is anybody using Unicom or has any other information?

yes - i had a Unichip on my last car, a Nissan Pulsar GTiR (not available in the US i dont think). its a 2litre 16valve twin cam with a turbo, and 4WD. Very very underrated etc etc.

Anyways, the car was leaning out on the top end (making 281 flywheel bhp though) so we fitted a unichip and mapped it up. You can map fuel and ignition points at 500rpm intervals , on both half and full throttle.

Erm - what else can i say really. Took about 30 minutes to install (its 6 or 7 wires on to the ECU) then about 1 / 1.5 hour to map it fully. Car made 297 flywheel bhp. That was with an exhaust, intake and intercooler, nothing else, and 14psi boost on the stock T28 turbo.

DUDE!!!!!, I saw a presentation this weekend on how the UNICHIP works in my friends Supra, all I gotta say is this ECU is GREAT, it can do the basic things that a standalone ECU can do BUT you use your stock computer!!!!!, I'll get more into depth with it as I see it being used more, BUT from what I saw it do in my friends car I must say I'm VERY, VERY impressed.
