IL standalone unit to help with the 3800 RPM hesitation?

Hey everyone,

As you can see above I am looking for a standalone unit that would help me tune out the lean area that is causing my 3800 RPM hesitation. I tried the usual grounding techniques and that didnt work.
I have a 1986 GXL bone stock, Im pretty much looking for something cheap to hold me over until I can buy a turbo engine and swap it out. That might not be for another couple years, my car only has 36,xxx original miles on it and really only drive her in the summer.

Thanks in advance!

Of course you can by an AEM FIC and wire up one crank for rpm refrence(tap only), the two primary injectors and give it a vacuum/boost refrence. The fuel table in the fic is a fuel % modifier. For any rpm and manifold pressure site you can add a % multiplier. So go to the 3800 rpm sites and add 5% of fuel. Or whatever works to fix your lean spot.

This is kind of and expensive bandaid to fix your problem. You will spend $400 for a new fic plus time to install and tune properly. Which tuning and install could not he easier. But when it comes to your turbo motor, the fic can work but probably won't be adequate to properly tune it. So you will have to start over. Just some stuff to think about.

it will help.
Since the engine doesn't rely on the Stock Ecu anymore the New Standalone will take are of any fuel needed.
