Sorry if this is a repeat topic, I tried searching...
Does an aftermarket ECU change the redline of a block? I had always assumed it did, and that you could tune your rotary(turbo, in my case) to make power beyond 7k. I know porting raises the redline, but how about a (insert ECU manufacturer of choice here)? I'm not concerned with how high my redline is, but I am curious about this question. P.S. Assuming my initial presumption was correct, how high is an unported block tuneable to? Before the limits of the eccentric shaft I mean.
P.P.S. LAMO I just found the answer to my question after searching for the spelling of "eccentric" shaft. I'm going to go ahead and post this anyway so if anyone else searches with the keywords I did, they'll find this link.
