Exclamation More Wolf3d Questions!!!!

- Do you guys use the 'Fuel Cut on Overrun' setting?

Its the feature that cuts fuel when the throttle is closed, until a certain rpm. Just wondering what rpm setting you use.

- Also, has anyone set up their closed-loop?

Or did you just tune for STOICH in the cruising load/rpms...I'm trying to get my mpg's up to a bearable level, lol

I'm currently running with fuel cut on overrun.. but it took a bit of playing around to keep the car from stalling out when the revs returned to idle..You really need to have the 12%-25% loadpoints at 500 and 1000 rpm set up correctly for things to work.. I've currently got the cut off rpm set at 1700rpm . .anything lower then that will cause the car to stall as it's coming back down to idle..

I'm also running in closed loop mode right now as well..concentrate within the 12% and the 25% load points to get this set up right .. I found it nearly impossible to try and set this up on the street using my autometer a/f guage, however it's fairly easy with my greddy air/fuel guage.. I drive cruise around with closed loop turned off, then start adjusting the load points to bring my air/fuel down to about 13:1.. once set, I turn on closed loop and the wolf takes care of everything else...

What kinda mileage are you currently getting? So far I'm seeing only about 250ish to 260ish km's on about 45 litre fill (Prior to the wolf install I was at about 270 on a tank) .. mind you, I'm also running a hybrid turbo on an s5 manifold that spools up too damn quick.. I'm on boost (unintentionally) 60% of the time, which doesn't do much for gas mileage

Thanks Chris!

Hehe.
Our cars are very similar in many respects, lol.

Fuel-Cut: I had the same problem. If I set the rpm under 1700, it stalls out when I come to a stop, especially when the engine is still cold.

After the temps have come up, I can set it to 1200 and its just fine.

Mileage: Well, the best I ever got was 382 km's on a full tank of gas (63L), mainly highway with very little boost.

But usually, 40L gets me about what your getting.

Wolf Oxy-logging: Any idea on how accurate the oxy numbers (0-9) are in relation to real afr's from your gauge?

I can only dream of gettig that kinda mileage on the highway I gotta learn to control my right foot a little better I think ..

You have to take the oxy logging on the wolf with a grain of salt.. From my observations, the wolf records a max rich "9" at anything over 13.0:1 ... which isn't really very usefull to us at all figureing we are trying to shoot for 11.5:1 ..
