don't be a rikki,

could you expand on that a bit more? pictures?

Is the stock harness long enough or did the wiring to the knock sensor need to be lengthened?

thanks

Yes, please expand. If you have time, look at my thread. My car dies at 4500 rpm and also has the 3k hesitation. The 4.5k just started. I also have the PFS PMC. Thanks.

Thank you very, very, very much for the pics. I just got my PMC manual so I got a lot of reading to do, but hopefully this will be the fix for me. Thanks again Rikki.

Guess I shouldn't be trying this in the dark..... but where is the knock sensor? Not trying to sound like a newbie, but the pic in the shop manual is worthless.

Ryan,
I believe I am having the same problem, I will call Peter F. tomorrow. But, do you think that the knock sensor will still do it's jub relocated to that point? BTW what did you have to remove to get to the sensor? I found it, but it looks like fun to get to!
Thanks again.
Matt

The stock knock sensor probably won't do it's job when relocated there. That's the reason for moving it. The cause of the fuel cut is excessive noise. Disabling the stock sensor is not new, the Power FC doesn't use it, neither do any available Haltechs, nor do reprogrammed ECUs.

Thanks for the info. After clearing my ECU's memory like 5 times, the problem continues to happen intermittenly. I'm assuming that since the engine pulls strong most of the time and this only happens 1 out of 3-4 times, that my problem was not mechanical. I'll try it this weekend. Any thoughts about an aftermarket knock sensor, or moving it to the rear rotor?
