Peter Farrel Supercars PMS unit

I just bought an pms unit from a friend, i am currently using a Pettit Chipped ECU... the PMS says to connect to the STOCK ecu.. but my question is, the Petitt ECU should not conflict with the PMS unit right? Everything should still work properly or do i absolutely need a STOCK ecu?

It will work fine with the pettit ecu, in fact better.
