yes you would see power gains more so if it was tuned by someone who had a lot of experience in tweaking the engine managenment systems in n/a rotary's.

NA Engine - Haltech? Or am I a moron
Just wondering.. would it benefit an NA at ALL to get a haltech? I want to be able to remove my OMP and run premix (I have an 89-91). I also want the ability to have a couple fuel maps.. like.. an economy one.. with low fuel curves for daily driving, and one with high fuel curves for racing... Possibly an autocross one and a drag one... I would also like the additional diagnostic information.. The removal of the TPS would be nice as well. But.. as far as power goes... Would I gain ANYTHING in getting a haltech (check sig for mods)

WHen I got my MD Racing upgrade, they showed me their project '86 with a full Wolf EMS. It was putting out 200hp without any major mods.
You can definately get more power, but you'll need some expertise or a LOT of dyno time.

why are you getting rid of your OMP?
is it because it electric? if so you can put a mechanical one on pretty easy and premix is a PIA,also let me know what you find out about the haltech i am putting a 90 n/a in a 86 n/a and need to either have my ECU remapped or go with a aftermarket unit.
thanks steve
