N374 JAM ECU questions

I bought a JAM ECU (JAM Super Tuning System ECU) My understanding is that the ecu is a Jspec ECU (n374) that has been "chipped" I opened it up and there is no real evidence if what the "chip" actually is chipping the ecu for. The main chip has been replaced, although there are no marks or serial numbers on it. Is there any way to determine what the ECU has been chipped for?

I am probably going to send this guy off for rtek chip service but was curious what the heck this ecu is.

Thanks

this thread is the equivalent of a Japanese guy on a Japanese ford forum asking what a bullydog does for an f250....(asking other Japanese guys in their native language. japantyese.)

actually they probably don't sell f250s in japan. but you get the point...

i don't think anyone has any hard evidence what any of the Japanese chipped ecus do, or if there are any major changes at all... but there is a lot of them, can we start a list?

i have a 4 beat by knight spot... havent used it yet.

HA! Well the slight difference is if you google f250 bullydog there are a million threads and instruction manuals..

JAM only shows up in NZ toyota forums ect. I am not one of these guys that buys something because it's "chipped" off ebay, I bought it as a core so I don't have to risk my N370 for an Rtek 1.5 upgrade. Hope you figure out what yours is for.. Mine says in hand writing "13b rotary single Large turbo" on the casing..

in japan they have the ability to basically do anything inside the stock ecu they need to. so when it says "13B single large turbo" that's what it was tuned for. however since you don't have the rest of the car its impossible to say anything more than that.

don't underestimate the chip tuning, blitz did an FD with a big single and stock ecu that ran 10's.

JAM is a tuning shop.

the cool thing to do would be to get a chip reader, and get the data off of that chip, and then compare it to a stock chip.
