MAP sensor question

I did some searching, and I want to verify that I found the right answer. I'm looking at buying a E6K from a forum member. My car is N/A and the haltech he has will come with a 3 bar map sensor. From what I found by searching, the 3 bar will read from vaccuum up to 30psi. If it will read vaccuum, do I need to use a 1 bar map sensor? If so, will my stock boost/vaccuum sensor work?

Thanks for the help.

I dd some more searching and I've come to the conclusion that it will not work, or at least it will not work properly. If anyone knows otherwise, shoot me a PM or something.

thanks

Yes, you need a 1 bar MAP sensor, if you're going to use the MAP sensor as the load device.&nbsp The Haltech can be switched to run in TPS mode, where it uses the TPS as a load sensor - it might be better to run it this way, as NA vehicles tend to have better tuning via this method.&nbsp If you use TPS as a load device, you really don't need a MP sensor at all.

If you already have a 1 bar MAP, you can use your stock sensor - you just need to rewire to suit the Haltech wiring.
