hks GCC old type vs new

I'm looking at adding a GCC to my pfc f-con but i'm a little unsure whether the old or new type would be better tuning wise.

The difference that I have noticed is that the older version offers an adjustability range from 500rpm up to 8,000rpm at six different points in the rev range that are 1,500rpm apart. Whereas the newer version is adjustable from 700rpm up to 7,500rpm at five different points which are 1,700rpm apart.

To me it seems like the older GCC is actually better because it would not have to average as much between the adjustable points in the rev range, it also has a wider rev range overall aswell.

What do you guys think?
