Haltech or ECU upgrade questions

I'm looking to upgrade my stock computer or install a Haltech. What are the advatages to both? What will I need? I must also consider the platform im upgrading. A 90 N/A Vert. Would it be worth it? Also, will I be able to tune the haltech without a laptop pc?

I have no opinions on your situation, but you can tune a haltech without a laptop. Just no 'on the fly' tuning. You will need a long serial cable to reach the Haltech if you don't have a laptop. In short, the only way to modify maps is with a computer. Buy a $40 laptop, you don't need anything special.

Also ,you will need to either run a premix with your fuel or modify(change front timing case cover)on your motor,if running Haltech. It doesnt control oil metering pump.
Like mentioned, best is to tune it in REAL TIME,so you will need a (cheap will do)laptop. The good thing about Haltech is ,that a lot of people use them, and you can always get help when needed
