Can a PFC be used from another car?

My question is what the title says... Can an Apexi PFC be taken from another car and used in an rx7? Basically, can all the settings be changed over or are there limitation on what can and can't be changed? Just curious because I have the PF PMS system in my car and have a friend with a 240sx that is offering his PFC to me for free. I REALLY don't want to turn down that deal considering I will need it for a single turbo soon. Thanks.

You MIGHT be able to if you wanted to read the schematics and the Nissan wiring diagram and re-wire your wiring harness. I doubt that they have configured the outputs of the PFC for that platform for all of the necessary functions to run a FD. You would also need a Datalogit for the Nissan model (not sure if the one for the FD will work the same).

In other words, for 99% of the users here, as said above, NO.

This exercise in futility would only be recommended for a starving EE college student (I never asked you what your major was last weekend at the Raleigh meeting) or someone who built a MegaSquirt from the kit and knows fuel injection fundamentals.

Take his 240 PFC, ebay it, ebay EFI PMS, and buy a FD PFC.
