Bosch EV14 fuel injector pedigree & specifications
So I picked up a single turbo '93 FD recently that is managed by a Link G4+ Fury ECU. According to the previous owner, it has "extended nozzle Bosch EV14 1000cc injectors as primaries, and secondary FI’s are Bosch 2200cc EV14 injectors". PO said the secondaries are the equivalent Bosch part # to the ID 2000 FI’s.
Unfortunately the PO didn't retain any spec sheets for the FIs he purchased so that I could verify the pedigree of these parts and thus make sure that all the FI variables (e.g., dead times, flow, etc.) that he plugged into the Link ECU tune are correct. To make matters more difficult, Bosch makes many variants of its "EV14 1000/2200cc injectors", and I'm sure there are lots of counterfeit/copied versions of the the EV14 injectors out on the market too.
My questions are:
(1) Are there any identifying marks, stamped #'s or any other physical characteristics on authentic Bosch EV14 FIs that I could inspect for that would help me ID the actual Bosch part # and thus be able to look up its specifications?
(2) If I have no joy with #1, I know I can ship the injectors to any number of shops that provide services to clean the FIs and provide before/after flow rate specifications vs. pressure, but does anyone know of a shop that can do this PLUS provide a test to determine the FI's dead time characteristics? (i.e., voltage vs dead time in mS at a specified differential fuel pressure)
Thanks!
