Thumbs down Problem with E-manage Ultimate

E-manage Ultimate , It is not work for RX8.

Rev. will show half from actual. You need to buy option for Rotary engine from Greddy.
Speed Limit Cut is not work for. You need to fitted with HKS SLD Type III. It cost 300 US$ up.
Ignition Timing Adjust is screw up and down. It is very dangerous to tuned it.
Knock Monitor can not use.

I have read this, and it is said you need to adjust it.

I will ask about that, but not sure it is needed.

I do not think we with the fc3s have to worry about that.

Hmmm, not familiar with this yet. But the timing is a conceearn to most when it comes to the GEM.

I understand this to be pointless anyhow with our FC3s'. Just hook into the Water and Air temp.

There is a RX8 site with a E-Manage section. People have had good luck putting these into a 8. Try over there.
Good Luck.

Thanks Wankler. Did you use the correct colored/striped wire from each pin, because thats what it looks like. I have one from HKS, and they use all yellow wires.

Yes, that is what I did. I had to buy both harness', and a cpu. I had a friend get the female end off the cpu, then I just sauldered them together.

Faq - TPS

If you have an older car with a narrow range throttle position sensor
(old RX-7's, some Toyotas, etc.), there are a few tricks. Easiest is
to get a boost sensor of some kind and tap into that signal – most
boost sensors are 0-5v outputs, just like a TPS. With the boost
sensor, you dial in your airflow map with boost on the vertical axis
instead of throttle position. Works quite well!

The Wankler, thanks for making this happen. I definitely need to get one of these emanage ultimate systems in my hands already.

You are welcome! I have not read of any installs into the FC3S yet, I advise holding on before any purchase unless you want to champion it. I will not have mine installed for a couple months, and then I will only run it stock for a few months to make sure all works well. Untill then, I am just going to post my findings on this thread.

The Wankler: at this moment we do not have much of a force to go a head and create a GReddy E-Manage Forum. As things are constantly changing around In the EMS Forums, the rx7club for that matter, I personally would like to see one In the near future and hopefully In due time we will have one.

I'd be interested in an E-manage forum. I may have installed it properly, and had my thread of the install posted here from TeamFC3S, but I don't know how to use all of it's features!

I think they should change the Supper-AFC forum into a "Piggy-Back" forum. Because we all know that the S-AFC doesn't deserve its own section

Yeah piggyback forum sounds like a good plan. i agree with this. the emanage needs its own forum or atleast the piggyback units do.
