So my brother gave me his old turbo. Fresh rebuild 62/1 turbonetics

Its bigger than my other turbo and is divided housing. My mani and old turbo are undivided.

instead of making a new manifold, we had a divided spacer that raised the turbo up about 3 inches. so the wastegate opens when the runners are collected, then the rest is all divided.

we will see how boost is and what RPM we get full boost at

Yeah have to agree here. Might be worth looking into since you already have the right configuration. (Non-divided manifold + divided turbo).

Never heard of it but I just googled... seems legit. It is like $500 so not bad.

I may pick that up later or something cuz I have a budget (roll cage, hookers, blow)

Hmm, not sure.

But I mean for the price of those quick spool valves you might want to see how much it would take you to just do a proper twin scroll manifold.

exactly

but i can just throw it on with all the pieces now, boost it and ****. I can modify the manifold myself but the flange is like $30 and i dont TIG so the cost of that... but i think the **** i have now will hit 500hp no prob and will have a good spool.

if i dont like it then the mani will come off and i will make a twin scroll or something. 2" inner diameter will be sick divided mani

from some of the things i have seen on the QSV people are getting full boost 5-600rpms sooner on jz's, havent seen anything on rotaries. also if you want a divided t4 manifold let me know.

So yea without ordering anything or spending a dime, this is how I can get the turbo to fit. All I need is to Tig weld the intercooler pipe, new oil feed/dump, and modify the down pipe with a vband flange

This is just to get it running. Im re doing alot of stuff under the hood as well. Should look real nice and make 500hp easy although I might go for 450

How does the car feel with 18s in the front? I know a lot of guys run a 17/18 stagger or just 17s but haven't seen just 18s on an FC before.

Mannn most of the builds are 18's all around. If anything staggered setups are less common than 18's

Some 18x10's with a offset around +20 fit great on a stock rear fender. It helps fill out the large area there.

I still run 17x8's up front with stock fenders Will step up to 18's once I go wide fronts.

So I sourced an REW upper and tb. Took it home and started cutting, grinding, and modifying. My welder modified my s5 lower to bolt on the rew. He even port matched it

So after like 2 years of use, the radiator was looking pretty fucked up. Harbor freight jack almost went straight through the middle of it. The radiator didnt rupture and still works.

Going to weld -16 AN to the inlet and flip the outlet to the front, just like my old one. Ducting will need revisions but no biggie.
