Well I got the best mod for every rx7 ever avaliable on the market

A proper support vehicle.

also sold the rx8 today. bitter sweet moment but Im glad its gone since it was causing me a lot of issues latley. I sadly have not been able to do hardly anything to the 7 since my last post. starting to look like the cage will be postponed for a little while longer as I save up some more from the truck purchase. gonna tinker with it sometime this week and maybe start pulling the carpet, dash, rats nest, etc etc since drift season is creaping back upon us quickly!

in memory of what was a pretty cool rx8 heres a few pics from when it looked good.

still very little updates on this car. its basically sat in the garage all off season. I recently brought it out knocked the dust off, and fixed some small electrical issues, and put some new beefier tires on it for this year. funds are being saved for the roll cage which if all goes to plan should be going in this july. in the mean time, theres a big season opener coming up this friday and im sooo ready to really drive this car again! pics/vids/shameless plugging will come shortly after!

yep, the last year I drove it I had finally gotten the car dialed in juuuust right and it felt amazing even with the lack of power. I think that the fact it was so slow helped me become a much better driver quicker than I would have with more. it forced me to drive the **** out of it every time I hit the track. certainly a fun car, but it gave me a lot of troubles towards the end of me owing it.

STR 606's. they are the old style "flat lip" though. they are now only avaliable with a step lip, and not in the same specs as mine. the ones I have are 17x9 +22

Turbo vert drift build...-5nbi1gj.jpg

I think they look pretty good for drift spares. much better than the junky maxima wheels Ive been using for the past few years haha

this is why you always double check your hood pins... so ******* stupid. D max hood and obviously, windshield are done for. anyone know where I could find another D max replica hood?

cricket cricket... long time no update. I have been pretty busy with the car lately, fixing a lot of small issues, to get the thing to 100%. also added some aesthetic upgrades as well, and took it out for another event last weekend!

Turbo vert drift build...-usi6tcc.jpg

Turbo vert drift build...-iqx9nv2.jpg

but the REAL update is that I finally got off my *** and started the tedious process of gutting the interior in prep for the roll cage! im about 80% ready for it to go to the fab shop now, just gotta clean up some wires, and go to town with the dry ice! if all goes well it should be caged in the next week or so! really excited to get the ball rolling on this long overdue project!

Turbo vert drift build...-tv2ulg6.jpg

while its getting the cage, im also getting an exhaust made, as well as some other small fab stuff. will update when all that get done in the next few weeks!

bonus video featuring a gopro on a stick.

well shes all done and ready for an event this weekend! picked up the car with nothing inside except the cage and have been jamming on it all day to get it done and take it on a test drive! SOOO happy with how this cage came out! I dont have any pics of the finished product with the top down, but im sure there will be many after this event saturday.

only issues at the moment are that I am getting the warning buzzer for the tach not being installed, even though it is and its working fine, my oil pressure gauge is not working, and I have no power to the passenger door. pretty confused on that one, but at least the window is stuck up (again) rather than down.

If I had to guess, it would be to maintain functionality of the top.

had a little fender bender during practice.

Turbo vert drift build...-yt6moyw.jpg

its only cosmetic thankfully, but still pretty lame. oh well, this is VERY minor compared to what ive seen happen in situations like the one that caused this, so im not that worried about it. drove the rest of the event just fine with the fender and bumper removed. had an awesome time and qualified 7th out of 15 drivers! got knocked out in my first battle sadly to the 2nd place winner. motivated to make at least the final 4 for the next round in memphis!

Turbo vert drift build...-puwzjsl.png

Turbo vert drift build...-gvryfmd.jpg

also as you can see I need to get my seat to mount a bit lower so my head is not right next to the halo bar. should be a fun one to figure out. lol
