I went fast this weekend.... it was awesome! 90+MPH entries all day untill I broke some stuff.....lol well worth it!

Turbo vert drift build...-ywmly7h.jpg

the car will be down for a while. the damaged list is as follows.

Fried clutch
Blown up T2 lip ( a field jumped in front of me out of no where)
potentially bent shifter fork ( lost 5th and reverse somehow)
the motor was breaking up BAD towards the end of the day. ( I think it was fuel starve... not sure why)
somewhow developed a MASSIVE exhaust leak.
and im pretty sure even with a pinion snubber and a brand new front diff mount that I broke it. got teriible wheel hop and driveline shutter halfway through the day. ready to teardown and rebuild! im driving again in november so I have a litlle bit of time to fix everything.

pulling the flywheel as soon as I get a 54mm socket and getting it resurfaced. exedy 3 puck from the rx8 is going in to replace the act garbage. hopefully tonight Ill have time to take the trans apart and figure out my shifter issue.

no not yet, the trans mounts are going in as soon as I fix it, motor mounts might go in next week as well since there is a lot of room to get in there with the trans removed.

thanks man, not much left now. all the hard stuff is done like robbing parts off the rx8. only thing left is to get the trans situated and throw it back together! hopefully it stays in one piece for my next event because im driving it there 3 hours away, its not a very demanding track though so im not too worried..... even though last year I blew the trans in the 8 and somehow drove it all the way back.. lol

word of advice though, I had this clutch paired with an aluminum LW FW from racing beat and it did not fair well against it... got a bit warped and chewed up pretty bad. I guess I should have thought about that first before pairing the two haha oh well.

^^^ looks like a good time!

I feel you on the uhaul trailer nonsense. I've been renting and messing around with uhaul's car trailer for the last year since I've got no place to store a trailer... but I'm so over it and have been looking for a deal on a trailer to scoop up. Looks like you got yourself a real nice trailer!

Keep up the good work in the off season!

yep! I had no intentions of buying a trailer at all until I saw the ad and the price. too good to pass up. pulls like a dream too, my ladcruiser would struggle HARD pulling a uhaul trailer because you cant balance your load properly and they weigh about as much as the car itself. with this one I almost forgot I had a car behind me haha
