Need WAY more information. Car? Engine? Turbo? Power? Why keep stock flywheel? Honestly flywheel should be the least of your worries right now....

I THINK about ... 8 brap motors ago I ran the stock flywheel with the silly XTC (or something ebay) clutch, and it worked just fine on the NA-T. Later went to a spec stage 4 with lightweight flywheel and much more power and it was much more fun.

I will tell you one thing, DD and drifting do NOT go hand and hand. Trust me I know.

truf..

before i pulled my motor i was running a stage 2 exedy sprung clutch with a resurfaced flywheel. i was n/a and i thought that it made drifting ALOT easier. a heavier flywheel is good for drifting b/c it is easier to keep the momentum of the engine going.

check out the drift setup thread tho to see what everyone is running

umm you do know that 6 puck clutch will last 10k miles max? Don't use a puck clutch for this application.

???? I used a 6 puck in my daily for way more than 10,000 miles, then drifted on it for like 2 years, then when I got a new daily, I put it back in that car, and drove it for probably 10,000 more miles, then sold the car.

Learn how to drive stick bro!

Same here. I used the same 6 puck setup on 3 engines, WAY more than 10k miles, multiple drift events.... before I switched to a SPEC on my RE build, just because I thought I would need it, but I don't think I did. When I took it off it was perfect.

Maybe not learn to drive a stick, but learn how to install a clutch properly?

I have a 4 puck act with sprung hub, and a stock flywheel. I have had this setup for two seasons now, and drive the car every day until there's snow on the ground. No problems yet!
