by removing an inch it could make an awesome size front. a 5" inner barrel would drop it down to a 9.5 or so.

just some insight... i have put wheels together and that is what i would do. but yea your car do what you want and those dudes know what they are doing over there it looks like
The diagram is pretty dumb, but ignoring everything else in the picture, it shows you the outlines of the wheel mounted on the same "hub" face giving you a relative idea of how a new wheel/offset compares to a known set of boundary conditions (ie. a wheel that fits). The tire and suspension components there are pretty useless other than an estimation of overall tire diameter.

I got 10.5s because that's what I ordered and that's what they packed up and shipped me I ordered them the in the morning on the east coast and they shipped them out first thing in the morning (Pacific time) while I was busy at work. By the diagram above, it looks like like they will be no worse than the setup Martin runs (other than a small increase in tire diameter). I should have shot them an email or left a voicemail before business hours to see what the options to throw on a set of new inner barrels, but I didn't, so I'm getting 10.5s.

I appreciate the help fitting wide wheels, since you've been stuffing huge Equips for quite some time, so if these don't work out as is I'll be on the lookout for some 40-hole 4.5 or 5" inners. I could also find a pair of 17's and use the 10.5s as rears if the barrel supply dries up before I get a chance to test fit these things.

yeah new inners might not be a bad idea. more inner clearance for that angle kit and still keep the baller lip

My equips are 18x10.5 -17 and they tuck under shines fenders but I'm running 225/40rt-615's tho You won't know till you start messing around a little with it I also don't have pbm control arms so that should help tons with clearance. I do run extended balljoints and milled the **** out of my upper and lower coilover mounts to achieve extra camber. I also cut out the inner fender wells. This was done a couple years ago before all this new bad *** **** we have now Schmitty's "Like it or Don't" Drift Build-image-3832850553.jpg

Awesome, thanks for the input! I was going to start with a pair of 245/35/18s that I've got sitting in my basement since they are a shorter tire than the 225/40s (24.8" vs 25.1"), but I've got a bunch of 225/40s that I can try too.

I have an effective 18x9.5 -25 on the front of my fc. with it being low low i have issues with hitting the rear of the wheel arch on the fender. where the side skirt is. I do have pbm coilovers with their caster/camber adjusted all the way in/back. i run a 215/35/18 though. I do have extended ball joints too. so I am not 100% sure what the actual track width is.

The new PBM FLCAs have the mounting holes for the ball joints moved forward 15mm, so that should give me some relief in the area you are hitting.

Hey Schmitty, I dont know if youve already gotten to it or not but if you havent, double check the sizing of your Spherical Trailing arm Setup

I went to assemble mine lastnight and there seems to be some minor discrepencies between the outer and inner diameters. The two bigger pieces that slide over the bearing and house it in the mounting hole on the Trailing arm dont fit.
I measure something like 200ths of an inch off.
Im going to give PBM a call and see what they come up with.

Hopefully i just got a junk batch. lol

They don't fit in the trailing arm, or the bearings don't fit in the sleeves? I haven't assembled mine in the car yet but they seem to fit together fine with a light press fit on my desk.

Wheels are here... packaging was crap (the fact the UPS must employ gorillas in the sorting facilities didn't help either) and led to the wheels being mostly unpacked when they arrived

hey dont mean to jack your thread but if you have a chance, could you spec the OD of you PBM trailing arm bushings (the big gold parts) with a set of calipers? I want to try and verify if its a bad part or if my trailing arm is just fuzzed.

Baam! Sleeves out. Folded the lips down to relieve pressure then hammered them out.
The second arm I just filed one relief cut into the sleeve and they came riiiight out.
