Oh I'm sure I did it wrong. But it's just a track car, and welding is easier and more predictable in my opinion.

I don't have a grand to drop on a kaaz so I'm going to go with welded. Not saying it's the best thing in the world, but it's cheap, and pretty reliable.

dude u can wire feed into the casing... that works. My brother is rockin a welded thats been filled thru the openings.

2 years with 400hp and its holding

Digging up this old thread, I need a little more enlightenment on what to weld, right now my diff is completely gutted and cleaned. What should I do... No flaming or crap. S4 t2 diff

looks like you can weld the spider gears and **** or gutt it out and weld #7 & #10 to the housing

Slap a .010-.015" shim under each clutch pack and put it back together, no welding... it will NOT break away... and if it does, add .010 to one side.

I replaced the clutches and thrust washers in my S4 tii diff two years ago. The whole clutch stack is now .8mm thicker(0.031") and its great
