Well, busted a timing chain in the bike, so until the S30 is done this will be staying as it is and I'll be dailying it. My spindles should be back from the welder this week, so I can have new bearings pressed in, have them powdercoated, and put them back on and finish up the suspension.
After that, I'll be saving for a 20b and putting it in the FC.
Just kidding, I'm going 1j.

That sounds really simple! I would love to do this swap, but i dont know if i could tackle the wiring part of it. Do you know what wires you had to do? Just the ones for the dash and everything? And also did you retain the stock rpm gauge, speedo and everything else?

One plug on the KA engine harness has all the wires you need to power for the engine to run. As far as the dash harness in the FC, I didn't touch it and made a custom cluster with aftermarket gauges.

And I can get a 1j already rear sump, use a USDM r154 tranny, build custom mounts again and make more power than an SR.
And they sound better

Could you post a picture of the wiring a little bit also if you wouldn't mind?

I just figured out which wires needed to be powered and ran relays to them. Don't have any photos, it really just looks like part of the harness runs to four relays haha

Gonna make one more drift event on this motor setup, then it's coming out for either a 1j or an LSX. Probably a 1j, unless a good t56 falls into my possession for a good deal.
Got some overnight parts from Japan in the mail today:
Pair of Work VSMX, discontinued a long timeago for the VSXX. 18x10 -4, figure these will do as new rears. I thought I was going to need overs, but with a 235/40 and a gnarly *** pull, we fit them under stock quarters.
Also tried one of Gary's RPF1's, 18x10.5 +15 fits perfectly under stock metal
Even with Gary's massive pull, they still rub a little bit. With a 225/40 they'd fit perfect, but I'll probably try and beat the inner fender in some tomorrow, that way when I decide I need more tire I can just get 30mm overs and still tuck 245's

Tax money just came in. I've been slowly accumulating parts, last thing I need is the motor which I'll be picking up as soon as I can get ahold of an importer in Dallas.
Picked up a T2 drivetrain a couple weeks ago for the 1jz, the NA diff and axles blow up around 200hp apparently. Plus all the aftermarket LSD options are made for the T2 diff casing, so it gives me more options down the road.
Also these are in the mail from Thailand. I've never actually seen a review from anyone running this mount kit, it's from some obscure company that barely speaks English. Xcessive has been promising FC/JZ mounts for the last three years and I don't feel like waiting on them. If I don't like these, I'll end up making my own.
Also picking up knuckles this weekend at Mineral Wells. Bought them from a guy in Texas a while back, haven't gotten around to picking them up yet. Since I already have extended balljoints and extended tie rod ends, this setup should put me around 66* of angle, only thing limiting me will be my wheel size and offset.
Speaking of wheels, I finally found a match on Yahoo Auctions Japan for this wheel:
I've had this KF for like a year and a half looking for a match for it, and it's currently on a boat from Japan headed this way.

All the 1j parts are here, now it's just time to go get a motor.
Knocked out the knuckles today, still need rack spacers and an alignment but everything looks promising. Tial bov and flange are in, mounts are here, Parts Shop Max subframe and diff risers are here too, so when I go pick up the new T2 diff and axles I'll pull the subframe and put all that in.
Drilled/slotted rotors and new pads are going to be here tomorrow as well.
