Online sites to get tires
Need to get a set of federals for an event next month.
I'm probably going to buy through onlinetires.com
Federals and Sunny SN3800's have done well for me and are dirt cheap.
Where do you get your and what brands?

nexen's are worth looking into, for their longevity. i had one set of nexens last 2 events... theyre unreallll.
if you're ballin' look into hankook's. the ventus HRII's are pretty badass, and smoke clouds worth, but retail is generally around $250/piece....
i'd run nexen before federal... i've never really liked federal's much on my car...

I run whatever I can find for rears, but I DD on Kumho Ecstas. Love em.

I've had good luck with the ventus line, thus why i posted.
always consistent. never bubbled. tread blocks stayed intact even after hot lapping (which is very hard to keep from happening) and much like nexen's when they do start to belt/get buttery they're is still some feedback.
the probably aren't as good as RT615's, but ive driven FK452's, and the other ziex ones, and theyre about the same equivalent.
the hankook RS-3's are comparable to the RT615's. the ventus are the street version.
the newer federals everyone seems to be getting are the 595-R's, and they do look pretty good, and last awhile. i didnt bother looking at treadwear or anything.
not trying to start a war with other people's ego's, just simply stating MY results on track, and not in parking lots..

when a tire randomly separates from the heat, and you just bought it brand new, it does make you get a little pissed... especially when you have to repaint the side of your car, and re-glass a freshly purchased over fender.
they do smoke alot though. i've just never liked the random belting when there's well over 50% tread left. balloon tires..

I had a set of sunny's that my friend drifted on(1 hour skidpad), crashed, put em on my car, drifted on(1 hour PIR), and then did normal driving on them for 4 months after, Then drifted till they popped and de-beaded(3 passes).
You can get four feddies on ebay for $300 shipped. 205 40 though. Dunno about other sizes.
Um, i lurk ebay hardcore for used tire deals. I will be hitting that up as soon as i get my tax refund. Anything from 50-80 percent tread life for $30 each is good enough for me. You can get goodyears and pilot sports for $40-75 each!
Are sunny's soft like federals? THe 280aa of the federals would make for a good budget front tire. I had falken rt615's but took them back after they got poor wet reviews. I can't drive well enough to overcome that push understeer in the rain when getting silly. I'm not sure how long i'll have my welded either.
Diamondbacks WERE cheap on discounttires.com, not to be confused with discount tire. Completely different place. I think they're based out of Monterey(sp?) cali. I pre-ordered some 522's and 521's with diamondbacks mounted and ballanced and it came out to a wee bit under $1200 shipped. They didn't have my wheels in stock and called me saying the container was late so i cancelled my order like a dumbass but if they're decent, worth looking at. $65 each new iirc.

i dont understand why goodyear sponsors Japan Cars, but not USA drifting. goodyear is USA based right?? i saw goodyear and just was curious. i always see verossa's and chaser's etc with monster goodyear stickers in doriland, but out here they arent supporting.
with that said, they could possibly take out nexen on tire life. lol
Nexen's still amaze me at how long they last. i could probably drive every event with only 2 tires... 4 for sure would get the job done. any track, and length. i drove 2 events on 1 pair of used nexens... mind blown.

Well, Feddy's seem to be sold out everywhere right now.
I went with Nexen N3000's 215/45/17 from City Tire.
$198 shipped for two to AZ.
I'll see how they are on Feb 6th
